About

When I first started to blog, I had no idea what I’d write about. Just ike every other writer in the world, the magic of an empty page and the mystery of what I would write on it, called to me. Thus The Idea-smithy was born, the workshop of ideas, the forge of a chronic thinker. Ideasmith is a handle and now it feels like an identity. Once, I was anonymous. I’m not, anymore but this is the name that most of my online community knows me by.

I am a woman. Some people think that explains all lot; some claim it says nothing. Come argue about it with me at my other blog, XX Factor.

Even in the age of the verbose, brevity is a boon. And I’m @ideasmithy on the Twitterverse.

Group blogs

I also have the pleasure of being a part of some online communities with my writing.

I was a part of India’s most popular filter-blog, in its heydays, as a Desipundit.

I’ve lived in one city all my life. This Island City is the keeper of my mundane secrets, the sieve of my shattered illusions and the incubator of all my grand plans. I love it; I loathe it; it is home. I was a Mumbai metroblogging writer.

I review and discuss popular culture at Desicritics. I am also a Desicritics editor.

I’m straight. But sexuality is a puzzle, we’re all navigating in our own ways. At its inception, I was the straight voice of Gaysi family.

Come February and I cover the city’s most colourful art festival at the Kala Ghoda Gazette.

My guest column at BlogAdda addresses topics of interest to the new blogger.

Some of my articles feature on Yahoo! Real Beauty.
